Description
Cannons were made by specialized bronze casting workshops. A very intricate, time consuming and skilled labor. New designs were presented to the Admiralty with specifications as to cannon-ball calibre, shape and size. Exact wood models were shown. Originals are rare.
Our cannon models in mahogany and solid bronze are all from around 1800. The large originals were in use on Admiral Nelsons Victory galleon.
